ABSTRACT
The fragmentation of knowledge, the complexity of operational tools and the criticality of identifying reliable design methods, stimulate an overall and synthetic interpretation of the architectural subject, and its grammar, called upon to manifest itself both as a general discipline and as an interdisciplinary science capable of combining sectoral knowledge in a transversal manner. The contribution of different cultural and educational spheres, the multiplication of instruments for controlling phenomena, the demand for the identification of architecture, elect the systemic management of procedures and the organic coordination of skills as fundamental requirements for the functional, morphological and technological definition of the project. Architectural culture is called upon to reflect on the modern features of the work of architecture, on its feasibility and difficult management. This implies bringing the academic sphere closer to the profession, pursuing new ways of teaching that allow the architect to operate in a compliant and aware manner within complexity, contrasting the aridity of widespread simplistic approaches, giving rhythm to his work with forms that are appropriate to the current times and logic. The educational activity, specularly, has the task of preserving and updating to the meaning of time the cultural heritage of knowledge and ideas, regenerating and integrating it while re-examining it, transmitting it to future generations. The University must adapt to scientific modernity, responding to the need for training through the development of knowledge, suitable for modern professions, able to formulate a meta-professional and meta-technical teaching, the ideal incubator of a real culture. The assumption of the work relates to technological design and the in-depth study of the design-construction-management relationship. The book Dieci+5 tesi di architettura is the result of a critical review of deep-rooted and tested methodologies endogenous to the relationship between teaching and study, with the aim of outlining lines and strategic forms of interpretation of the project: fifteen experiences aimed at providing a concise contribution, in terms of method and content, to the formation of a renewed teaching culture. An "open thought" useful to test the landscape and the existing coexistence between the reasons of the theory of design and the theory of construction, declined through topical issues involving the territory and its evolution. Enunciating certain partial but vital paradigms of the technological project means reactivating a debate on the architectural project, indebted to history but at the same time open to new theoretical alchemies that the practice of research must reveal. The pedagogical action takes the form of the identification of points of reflection which, despite their partiality, express some of the main "contemporary guidelines for the technological project". Technological harmony, the resource of the sustainable landscape, dialogic organisation as an internal tool of the architectural discipline, dynamic multiplicity as a value and global transcalarity as an interpreter of internationalising logics while respecting local identities, constitute the new paradigms of the project, within which lightness, rapidity, exactitude, visibility and multiplicity persist as common guidelines, never "ephemeral", validated by the passage of time.
