Architect and PhD, he is Full Professor at the Politecnico di Milano.

Author of numerous publications, for over a decade he chaired and coordinated the courses of study in Architectural Science and Architectural Design at Milan Polytechnic. He has participated in numerous design competitions, receiving awards and mentions. He has carried out works in Italy and abroad, some of which have been published in leading magazines. In the field of architectural and technological design, he has published books and essays, and held conferences and lectures in Italian and foreign universities. He is currently Editor in Chief of the scientific journal TECHNE_Journal of Technology for Architecture and Environment, and Director of the 2nd level University Master in Design Construction Management of Sport Infrastructures.
Professor at the International Academy of Architecture, since January 2017 he has been Pro-rector Delegate of the Politecnico di Milano.

From 1 August 2011 to 31 December 2016, Emilio Faroldi reconfigured his relationship with the firm in line with the changes introduced by the regulations on the organisation of the University and the legal status of university lecturers. From 1 January 2017 he suspended his affiliation with the firm, in conjunction with the full-time performance of the academic role conferred on him.
